Orange Shirt Day is fast approaching, and each of us needs to ask: what am I doing to learn about Residential Schools and the erasure of Indigenous people from our history?  Why are statues of prominent historical figures being torn down or replaced? Why are places, buildings and schools getting renamed?  Visit the library and see the book selections on offer. Take this opportunity to learn about the system that stole children from their families and left a legacy of loss and pain for Indigenous people. Let us honour the lives of the many children who never returned home from residential schools. O'sien, all my relations!

And remember to wear something orange on September 29th.
